Fly Fishing Gear Reviews

From time to time we personally try out some of the new products from various manufacturers. We will let you know what we think of the products and wheter they are something that most anglers would find useful.

FreeFly Bamboo "Breathe" Sun Mask

I recently got an opportunity to try one of the Bamboo "Breathe" Sun Masks from FreeFly. I have been wearing one of the competition's religiously when on the water. True, anything around your neck and face when it is hot can be unpleasant but I found the Freefly Sun Mask much more comfortable than others. The ends are finished, it wasn't just cut off a 200 mile tube of material. It helps prevent the ends from rolling and makes it easier to get it up over my nose. They also seem to be more forgiving in the sizing, which helps a lot too. They come in 4 colors, Blue, Titanium, Teal & Ivory. They may not have a lot of fancy patterns but I'll take the overall feel and comfort any day. Try one, you won't be sorry.

The ONE rod is our flagship offering that may redefine the "all-around" rod category, where precision casting accuracy is needed over a wide range of conditions. Hand crafted from our Konnetic technology three long years in the making, the ONE rod is a game changer.

  • Fast action
  • Konnetic Technology construction
  • Fuji ceramic stripping guides
  • Hard chromed snake guides
  • High grade, custom tapered, shaped cork handles
  • Walnut wood and Golden Bronze-colored aluminum anodized freshwater reel seat
  • Weights 6 through 10 have an all Golden Bronze colored aluminum anodized reel seat

A couple of our guides have the One and agree that it is the One rod to have if you only have One rod. It is highly accurate and light. A pleasure to fish with out of a boat or wading.
